The class

Stretch: restore, mobilize, release.

Stretch is Sora's restorative mobility and yoga-inspired class. Expect intentional holds, fluid transitions, breath-led movement and focused recovery to improve flexibility and release built-up tension. It isn't a fixed posture sequence like Bikram; each class is guided by the instructor and the room.

Heat

Warm and restorative

Hot up to 40°C, or Mild up to 30°C. For Stretch the heat may be set to a more comfortable level.

Pace

Slow and intentional

Calm, breath-led movement with time to settle into each shape.

Experience

All levels

Restorative and adaptable, whether you're new to yoga or recovering from harder training.

Infrared heat

Warmth without the steam room.

Sora uses infrared heaters, which warm people and surfaces directly rather than relying only on hot, humid air. Many people find it a softer, more comfortable warmth. Instructors can adjust the room during class.

Mix your practice

Yoga and Pilates under one roof.

Pair Stretch with Sora's Pilates classes, Observe, Recenter and Activate, for a balance of strength and release. Intro offers and memberships cover regularly scheduled classes, so you can try them all.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

Is Sora's hot yoga Bikram?

No. Stretch isn't a fixed 26-posture sequence. It's a restorative, yoga-inspired mobility class with breath-led movement, intentional holds and recovery, guided by the instructor.

How hot is the room?

Hot classes reach up to 40°C and Mild classes stay up to 30°C. For Stretch, the heat may be set to a more comfortable level, and instructors can adjust it during class.

Is hot yoga OK for beginners?

Yes. Stretch is designed for all levels. If you're new to heat, try a Mild class first, drink water before you arrive, and take breaks whenever you need them.

What should I wear?

Light, breathable clothes you can move in. Many people wear fitted leggings or shorts and a sweat-wicking top. Modest activewear is welcome.

What should I bring?

A mat towel, a refillable water bottle and grip socks. Mats are provided, and towel rentals are available at the studio if you forget yours.

When should I arrive for my first class?

Arrive 10–15 minutes early on your first visit. Doors open 10 minutes before class, and for everyone's safety entry closes 2 minutes after class starts.

Is there parking?

Yes. On-site parking is available at 63 Queen Street South, with more street parking along Queen Street and nearby side streets in Streetsville.

Can I take a heated class if I'm pregnant, injured or have a health condition?

Check with your doctor before taking a heated class, and let your instructor know before class starts so they can suggest modifications. Mild classes (up to 30°C) are a gentler option.
