Sora Sprints: our annual community series.

Once a year, we take Sora a little beyond our studio walls. Sora Sprints is our annual community series: one season each year, built around moving together, working with local partners, and giving back. Season 2 wrapped up at the end of September, so it feels like the right moment to look back at what Sprints is, where it came from, and what stays the same from one season to the next.
What Sora Sprints is
Sprints is a seasonal series of community events. Each year brings one season, and each season has its own line-up of runs, classes, sponsors, and partners. The details change from year to year. The heart of it does not: Sprints is a chance for our community to show up for one another and for causes that matter close to home.
You do not need to be a runner, a regular, or even a Sora member to take part. Sprints events are designed to be welcoming, with all levels invited. Our Season 2 tagline said it simply: run together, move together, grow together.
Season 1: where it started (2025)
Our first season ran in 2025. It set the pattern every season since has followed: bring people together around movement, and point that energy toward the wider community.
Season 1 supported two causes. We supported the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure, and we held a drive for Streetsville Secondary School, a school right here in our neighbourhood. Starting with a local school felt right. Streetsville is where Sora lives, and the people who walk past our door on Queen Street South are the people we want to show up for.
Season 2: back together (2026)
Season 2 returned in 2026, running from mid-August to late September. The opening event was on August 16 at Streetsville Memorial Park: a 3 km community run open to all levels, paired with a Yoga-lates movement class. The run was led by WomensFitSauga, and the Yoga-lates class was led by Aishah. Guests were asked to bring their own mats. A second run was planned for September 26.
Along the way, we held a special studio class for the CIBC Run for the Cure. On August 21, Pina led Observe: Heat With Heart, a breast cancer awareness class in our heated studio. The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure raises funds for breast cancer research, health advocacy, and support services for Canadians affected by breast cancer, and the class was our way of moving with that purpose in mind.
Season 2 also supported Food4Kids Mississauga. A Sora Sprints: Food4Kids item was available through Sora so that people could take part in that support too.
The partners who make it possible
Every season of Sprints features sponsors and partners we have worked with, and each season looks a little different because of them. For Season 2, we worked with WakeWater, Poulet Rouge, WomensFitSauga, and the CIBC Run for the Cure. Some partners help lead the movement itself, some help make the events feel special, and all of them help a small studio do something bigger than it could on its own.
We are grateful to every business and organization that has joined us. Working with partners is part of what makes Sprints feel like a community series rather than a studio promotion.
Why we always give back
Giving back is not an add-on to Sprints. It is the reason the series exists. Every season supports at least one cause, and registration for some events has included a donation. When you sign up, you are not only booking a spot. You are adding your part to something shared.
We also try to keep the causes close to home where we can. A school in Streetsville, a food program for kids in Mississauga, and a national run that touches families in every community: these are the kinds of efforts we want our studio to be part of.
A new season every year
Sprints is an annual series, so each new year brings a new season. We are not announcing dates for Season 3 yet. When we have news to share about the next season, its events, and the causes it will support, you will hear it first on Instagram. Follow @sorastudio.ca to stay in the loop.
In the meantime, the community that makes Sprints possible is the same one that fills our studio every week. If you would like to get to know it, explore the class guide at /classes or book a class at /book. We would love to see you on the mat, and on the start line next season.
